ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC) will build its first integrated research facility, the three-story, 70,000-sf UNM HSC Research Institute. The Institute will perform collaborative, interdisciplinary research on issues including the genetic predispositions, diseases, and environmental exposures that affect the 48% Hispanic and 9% Native American population of New Mexico. The facility is expected to cost $40-million to plan, design, and build.
