LOWELL, MASS. - The
University of Massachusetts, Lowell is planning to construct the $80 million Emerging Technologies and Innovation Center (ETIC). Designed by
CUH2A, the 97,000-sf center will house academic instruction, bio- and nanomanufacturing research and development, and incubator space. LEED Silver certification for sustainable design will be sought for the facility. The project is part of a campus expansion plan that includes new residence halls, two additional academic facilities, facilities for life sciences and medical device research, and a parking garage adjacent to ETIC.
