London Health Sciences Centre Expands Victoria Hospital

LONDON, ON, CANADA -
London Health Sciences Centre has selected EllisDon Corporation to construct and finance an expansion and renovation of Victoria Hospital in London, ON, Canada. The $211.8 million project includes completion of 465,000-sf of shell space in the North Tower and renovations of existing facilities totaling 100,000-sf. The completed facility will house offices, inpatient care, and clinical space for Children’s Hospital; a women’s center with neonatal ICU; inpatient and outpatient mental health services; inpatient medical and surgical facilities; advanced imaging technologies; a 350-seat auditorium; and clinical laboratories. Construction will begin in July of 2008 with completion slated for 2011.
