South Shore Hospital Builds Cancer Treatment Center

SOUTH WEYMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS -
South Shore Hospital is building a $66 million cancer treatment center in South Weymouth, Mass. Site work began on the 85,000-sf facility in January of 2008 with construction commencing in July of 2008. Completion is slated for late 2009. The cancer treatment center will house adult and pediatric outpatient care with radiation oncology, linear accelerators, medical oncology, chemotherapy infusion, and an MRI. The center is affiliated with Dana Farber Cancer Treatment Center and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. TRO/Jung Brannen is the project architect with Gilbane Building Company as construction manager.
