LA JOLLA, CALIF. - The
University of California, San Diego is nearing topping out on the new $30-million, 110,000-sf Student Academic Services facility in La Jolla. Designed by
Rob Wellington Quigley of San Diego, the five-story building is being constructed by
McCarthy. Featuring a 300-seat multipurpose room and two restaurants, the facility will combine all student services formerly located throughout the campus including financial aid, registration, and admissions.
KPFF is the structural engineer;
Berchard & Associates, mechanical and electrical engineer;
Boyle Engineering, civil engineer; and
Wallace, Roberts & Todd, landscape architect. Completion is scheduled for March 2007.
