COLUMBIA, S.C. - The
University of South Carolina will break ground in late 2008 on the $30 million Horizon II facility at the Innovista research campus. The five-story, 110,000-sf building will be built by general contractor
Kirco. Construction will begin in late 2008 with completion slated for 2009. Located in Columbia, S.C., the Innovista campus is being developed by
Innovista Holdings and includes a completed public health research facility. Two five-story academic and research buildings, Horizon I and Discovery I, are expected to reach completion in 2009.
