Carltas Develops Agricultural Biotech Park in Encinitas

ENCINITAS, CALIF. -

Carltas Development Co. of Carlsbad is planning to construct a 125,000-sf master-planned biotechnology business park on a 10-acre site in the Paul Ecke Ranch in Encinitas, Calif. Designed by McGraw/Baldwin Architects of San Diego, the project will house office, research, and laboratory space. General contractor Good & Roberts of Vista may begin construction as early as summer of 2003. Catering to tenants with agricultural affiliations, the campus will be the first in Encinitas and in San Diego County to provide access to 1 million-sf of greenhouses.
