ABBOTSFORD, B.C. - Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre celebrated the opening of its $355-million facility in September of 2008 in Abbotsford, British Columbia. The 300-bed public-private partnership was financed, designed, and built by
Access Health Abbotsford, a private company that will also maintain and operate the facility. The public healthcare system will provide all clinical services. The project is designed to consume 40 percent less energy than comparable facilities.
