COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. - Intel Corp. is investing $190 million to increase the capacity of its wafer fabrication plant in Colorado Springs, Colo. Construction will begin in fall 2005 to upgrade the facility with a second cleanroom that will allow the final stage of microprocessor processing. Completion is expected in the second half of 2007. Santa Clara, Calif.-based Intel will also invest $155 million in its Hudson, Mass., plant for the same purpose.
