CAMBRIDGE, MA. - MIT celebrated the groundbreaking of a new cancer research facility in Cambridge, Ma. on March 7, 2008. Housing the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, the 365,000-sf, seven-story plus basement facility will have a footprint of 45,000-sf. Connected by underground tunnels to Buildings 32 and 68, the headquarters and laboratory building will house the relocated Center for Cancer Research. The project architect is Ellenzweig. Completion is slated for December 2010.
