Max Planck Institute Plans Tallahassee Research Facility

JUPITER, FLA. -

The State of Florida and Palm Beach County have pledged a total of $187 million to help the Max Planck Institute establish a research facility in Jupiter, Fla. Part of a growing biomedical community that includes Scripps Research Institute, Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies, and the Burnham Institute for Medical Research, the facility will accommodate research on bioimaging and high resolution microscopy. Potential research partnerships between Max Planck and Scripps may lead to accelerated development of medical technologies.
