Washington State University Expands Vancouver Campus

VANCOUVER, WASH. -
Washington State University is planning to initiate construction in summer of 2009 on two facilities on its 350-acre Vancouver campus. The $59.4 million, 71,600-sf project was designed by LMN Architects of Seattle. The $42.6 million, four-story Applied Technology Classroom Building will provide instructional spaces, engineering research facilities, and faculty offices. The $16.8 million, two-story Semiconductor Component Testing Laboratory will be developed by the Washington Technology Center, a statewide economic development organization, to support industry partnerships and training programs. Both buildings are expected to reach completion by 2011. Washington State University Vancouver is also constructing a $28 million classroom building that will open in mid-2009.
