Phoenix Children's Hospital Expands in Arizona

PHOENIX -
Phoenix Children's Hospital is constructing a $588 million patient care tower in Phoenix, Ariz. The 759,000-sf, 11-story facility will house inpatient rooms, diagnosis and treatment, support, and shell space. The project will double the footprint of the existing hospital and increase the number of licensed beds from 299 to 632. The mechanical systems contractor is University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors, a subsidiary of EMCOR Group. Completion is expected by 2012.
