Veterans Affairs Develops Palo Alto Healthcare Campus

PALO ALTO, CALIF. -
Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System is engaged in a $750 million renovation and expansion of its medical campus in Palo Alto, Calif. Consolidating and replacing aging facilities, the new construction will include:
•    a 375,000-sf outpatient care and clinical research facility
•    a 93,000-sf polytrauma rehabilitation center
•    a 64,000-sf blindness rehabilitation facility
•    an 80,000-sf, 80-bed inpatient psychiatric facility
•    a 32,000-sf orthopedic research and rehabilitation center
•    a 20,000-sf central plant
•    veteran patient housing

At the nearby Menlo Park campus, new construction projects will include:
•    a 120-bed nursing home
•    a 23,000-sf engineering center
•    a 9,000-sf radiology center with a  nationwide records database
