Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center Builds Memphis Hospital

MEMPHIS, TENN. -
Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center has awarded Skanska USA Building a $146 million contract to construct a 610,000-sf hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Construction began on the 12-story facility in February of 2008 with completion slated for 2010. Designed by FKP Architects and Self Tucker Architects, the hospital houses diagnostic and treatment services with 225 patient rooms, a 14-room surgical suite, a cardiac catheterization lab, an interventional radiology suite, an endoscopy suite, and dedicated cardiovascular, pediatric, and neonatal ICUs. The total project cost is $327 million.
