Texas A&M University System Engaged in $700 Million in Construction Projects

COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS -

The Texas A&M University System is involved in almost $700 million in construction projects in College Station and Bryan, Texas. The $130 million Health Science Center is planned for a 200-acre site in West Bryan. The $95 million, 200,000-sf Interdisciplinary Life Sciences Building will house labs, classrooms, and offices. The $100 million, 230,000-sf Emerging Technologies & Economic Development Building will house engineering teaching and research and is slated for completion by March of 2011. Additionally, ground was broken in 2006 on two buildings, the Mitchell Institute for Fundamental Physics and Astronomy and the 150,000-sf Mitchell Physics Building housing labs, offices, classrooms, and an auditorium.
