Hastings College has approved the design of the Morrison-Reeves Science Center. Comprised of 52,600 sf, the initial total project construction budget goal is between $7.5 million and $8 million. The building will provide classrooms, teaching laboratories, and office space for physics, chemistry, biology and psychology, as well as a greenhouse, animal suite, conference room and student lounge. The project architect is RDG Planning & Design with Research Facilities Design (RFD) as laboratory design consultant and Kiewit Construction of Omaha as general contractor. Completion is expected in spring of 2009.
