George Fox University Develops Nursing Program Facility

NEWBERG, ORE. -

George Fox University  began the $4.1-million expansion and renovation of the Hoover Academic Building in Newberg, Ore. on July 5, 2005. Accommodating the University's new bachelor of science nursing program, the two-phase project was designed by Zimmer Gunsul Frasca of Portland. The general contractor is Robert Gray Partners with KPFF as structural engineer.

 The first phase, slated for completion in May 2006, consists of a 15,400-sf, two-story addition housing two nursing labs, an 82-seat auditorium, 19 faculty offices, an observation room, a study area, and a 900-sf art gallery. The second phase, an internal and external remodel of the existing building, will begin in summer of 2006. The facility will be opened and dedicated in fall of 2006.
