Baptist Hospital East Designs Ambulatory Care Center

LOUISVILLE, KY. -

Baptist Hospital East has selected the architectural team of Ellerbe Becket and LMH Architects (Laughlin Millea Hillman) to design its new Eastpoint Campus Ambulatory Care Center in Louisville, Ky. The six-story, 185,000-sf facility is slated to begin construction in late spring of 2007 with completion tentatively scheduled for spring of 2009. The first floor will house an outpatient ambulatory surgery center. The second floor will contain an urgent care center, diagnostic imaging/radiology, physical therapy, and cardiology. Medical offices will round out the remaining four floors.

Ellerbe Becket and LMH are collaborating on the schematic design, with Ellerbe Becket also providing medical planning, structural engineering, and MEP engineering services. Baptist plans to construct additional facilities at the site in the future, including a new hospital.
