St. Joseph Hospital Expands in Eureka

EUREKA, CALIF. -
St. Joseph Hospital has selected Skanska USA Building as the construction manager for an $118 million expansion in Eureka, Calif.  Designed by architect Kaplan McLaughlin Diaz, the project will include a 100,000-sf, three-story addition, as well as renovation of 12,000-sf in the existing hospital. The expansion is slated for completion in late 2010, upon which the renovation will commence and reach completion in late 2011. The project will double emergency department capacity and will increase intensive care, progressive care, and imaging space.
