Penn State Breaks Ground on Dickinson Law School

CARLISLE, PA. -

Pennsylvania State University broke ground in March of 2008 on a $50 million facility for the Dickinson School of Law on the Carlisle campus. Designed and engineered by Polshek Partnership Architects with Gilbane as construction manager, the 94,000-sf project will feature ceremonial courtrooms, legislative hearing rooms, an auditorium, lecture halls, library, and technology-rich classrooms and instructional spaces. LEED certification will be sought for the project. Completion is slated for December 2009. The project is part of the University’s $110 million plan for interconnected dual law school facilities on the Carlisle and University Park campuses. A 129,000-sf law school facility will be completed at University Park by fall of 2008.
