Shriners Plans St. Louis Replacement Hospital

Shriners Hospitals for Children will break ground in July of 2008 on a $170 million, 247,000-sf replacement hospital in St. Louis. Located on the Washington University Medical Center campus, the facility is slated for completion in 2012. Designed by Gresham, Smith & Partners, the hospital will include 40 inpatient beds, 30 clinical examination rooms, and four surgical suites. The facility will include a research floor to foster collaboration with affiliated organizations BJC Healthcare and Washington University School of Medicine.
