Saint Vincent College initiated a renovation and expansion of its Science Center in Latrobe, Penn. in fall of 2007. Designed by Maclachlan, Cornelius & Filoni, Inc. with Research Facilities Design (RFD) as laboratory design consultant, the 100,000-gsf project includes 35,000-gsf of new construction and 65,000-gsf of renovation. The $25 million facility will house chemistry, biology, physics, and life sciences laboratories. The university is seeking LEED certification for the project to a minimum level of Silver.
