Boston University’s BSL-4 laboratory, originally slated to open in fall of 2008, will undergo an environmental review that is expected to reach completion in April of 2009. The additional National Institutes of Health studies will add time to the construction schedule and no new opening date has yet been projected. The lab reached 70 percent completion in January of 2008.
