Blake Medical Center Expands Bradenton Facility

BRADENTON, FLA. -

Blake Medical Center is engaged in a $14-million renovation and expansion of its Bradenton, Fla., facility. Slated for completion in March 2006, the project is comprised of 45,000 sf of new construction and 30,000 sf of renovated space. Designed by Perkins & Will , the project consists of a new one-story surgery addition housing eight surgery suites and education facilities; expansion of the central plant; and renovation of the existing building including the pharmacy and the same-day surgery unit. The facility is owned by HCA. Birmingham-based Brasfield & Gorrie is the general contractor.
