SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, N.Y. broke ground in October 2004 on a $17.6 million intensive care unit. Designed by Envision Architects of Albany, N.Y., the 36-bed unit is slated to open in summer of 2006. The two-story facility will be three times larger than the current ICU which was built thirty years ago. The construction manager for the project is Waterford-based Jersen Construction Group.
