Peregrine Systems(R) Launches Peregrine Connections Program New global alliance program helps technology and solutions providers
SAN DIEGO, March 4, 2002 -- Peregrine Systems, a global Infrastructure Management software company, today announced the Peregrine Connections Program. The program is designed to help its technology and solutions alliance partners create new business opportunities, generate sales and increase revenue.
The Peregrine Connections program comprises two core components: Technology Alliance program, which promotes interoperability between Peregrine software and other applications, and Solution Alliance program, which opens up new channels of distribution for Peregrine solutions through strategic channel partners and independent software vendors (ISVs).
Depending on the level of membership, Peregrine Connections program members benefit from collaborative business planning, customized marketing campaigns, joint marketing programs, increased revenue readiness opportunities, enhanced alliances Web site and improved communications. In addition to training and certification programs, members receive sales leads, pre- and post-sales support, dedicated account representatives, MDF/co-op funds and marketing collateral.
"We have worked closely with our alliance partners to ensure that our Peregrine Connections program serves to help our members increase their revenue opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty," says Craig Ryall, Peregrine's senior vice president of worldwide alliances. "As the global leader in Infrastructure Management solutions, we are confident that our alliance partners will benefit from our extensive product line. Our new program leverages the synergy between Peregrine and our alliance partners to expand the market for best practice solutions that help businesses better manage their operational and capital costs."
Peregrine Connections Technology Alliance Program Currently, there are approximately 75 members in Peregrine's Technology Alliance program worldwide, including BMC Software, Business Objects, Connected, Line4, Marimba, Previo, among others. With Peregrine's development and go-to-market support, these members integrate their product, tools or application with one or more Peregrine product, including industry-leading AssetCenter(R), ServiceCenter(R) and Get-It?, and target their solutions to Peregrine customers in specific industries or vertical markets. In order to ensure more consistent quality and performance standards, Peregrine has engaged a third-party testing organization to validate the quality of interfaces developed by Technology Alliance partners.
"BMC Software is excited to be part of Peregrine Connections," says Dick Manasseri, marketing director, Enterprise Service Management, BMC Software. "As a technology alliance partner, BMC is working with Peregrine to deliver a best-of-breed service level management (SLM) solution, which enables our mutual customers to maximize their investment value, combining Peregrine's people-centered SLM functionality with BMC's system-centered SLM functionality. This means customers get greater value -- as they no longer have to integrate products on their own or operate them as silos."
Peregrine Connections Solution Alliance Program Peregrine's Solution Alliance program features more than 300 solution providers and ISVs, including Compaq, Denali Advanced Integration, Ernst & Young, GE Capital, IT Masters, KPMG, Northeastern Solutions, Predictive Systems and Project Remedies, among others. This new program offers solution providers mentoring, education, lead-generations and sales/marketing programs in addition to technical and support services.
The ISV component--called the Peregrine Connections ISV program--offers development and go-to-market support for ISVs and other developers. In addition, ISVs will have opportunities to bundle Peregrine's Infrastructure Management products with their software to increase their competitive advantage.
"We've enhanced our Peregrine Connections ISV program significantly to attract additional developers and ISVs, who will develop applications using our platform technologies, including the recently introduced Action Request System(R) (AR System(R))," says Peregrine's Ryall. "We are committed to helping ISVs and developers expedite the time to market for their software applications. We will offer access to our development team, provide training and support and create joint marketing activities to target key customers."
