New Facility Master Scheduling Software Released A NEW VERSION OF COMSEC's FM WebView and FACILITY MASTER SCHEDULING SOFTWARE
South Windsor, Connecticut -- February 6, 2002 -- COMSEC is announcing a new version of the time scheduling system, Facility Master (Win95/98/2000/NT/XP). Facility Master is designed for organizations that require an easy to use, yet extensive scheduling system for reserving rooms, activities, resources or appointments.
The Facility Master product line offers intuitive PC, network and simultaneous web scheduling for location, hardware and software independence.
Facility Master makes reservations as easy as clicking a mouse at the intersection of the time and facility, and entering the data in a popup window. The unique interface used by Facility Master permits the quick entry, update and retrieval of reservation information for up to 400 facilities, including equipment, resources and services. Add the FM WebView product to your intranet and users can have simultaneous schedule access with the network clients.
Facility Master is presently being used by medical, educational, churches, community centers and corporate industry groups. With most scheduling systems you create separate reservations for each of the required components necessary for your appointment. With Facility Master version 6.5, when you schedule the facility you may also schedule any special setups, services or resources at the same time. When scheduling a room you can quickly reserve a video recorder, key personnel, coffee & donuts and also select how you want the room configured. While coffee & donuts might be appropriate for a conference room meeting, a hospital might prefer oxygen and a wheel chair type selections. To provide this flexibility, the facilities and related items are all defined by the system Administrator.
FM WebView is an add on package that permits simultaneous access to the network scheduling database with a browser. Access your schedule from anywhere, (another building, home or on the road). Ease of use is the key to the FM Webview system, a Windows look alike program on the web. An organization can perform their scheduling on the network and let others view the information with a browser. Now you check the room or activity schedules without installing software or even having network access. Just use your browser and go to the intranet address.
FM WebView, version 2.0, introduces support for Microsoft's Active Server Pages (ASP). This new version will appeal to a wider intranet audience as ASP is available for free with NT or Win20 servers. FM WebView is also available for intranets using macromedia's Cold Fusion. (FM WebView online demo is available at http://www.fm-webview.com/intro.html)
