Centron -- Next Generation Environmental Monitor and Control System
Rees Scientific, the industry leader in laboratory and animal room monitoring, proudly introduces the Centron. Like the workhorse Series II-PC that it replaces, the Centron will continue to offer the best in centralized alarm notification and data collection for critical refrigerators, freezers, incubators, LN2 storage, stability chambers, animal rooms, and more. Its output control feature is useful for controlling and monitoring animal room lighting and watering systems.
Rees Scientific's new validated, networkable system has 20 times the processing capacity and 200 times the memory of the older Series II-PC. The Centron offers 12 bit .1 resolution, and 32 bit architecture means that there is instantaneous communication between the node and your workstations. There is infinite buffering on the Centron node, and the node plugs directly into your network and stores data directly to network files. A Rees Server is no longer required.
The Centron's electronic signature feature complies with the FDA 21-CFR-11 electronic signature requirement meaning fewer paper trail storage problems.
There is a modern voice mail quality dial-out for on- or off-site alarm notification via telephone, cell phone, pager, or via email. The optional Remote User Interface makes alarm handling easy and the RUI's high resolution color LCD touch screen can be located in proximity to your animal or equipment rooms.
Automated Reading and Event reports can print out automatically every 4, or 24, hours. There is a complete audit trail which logs all changes made to the system software. Centron comes with validation documentation, calibration, and training to meet AAALAC, USDA, GMP, or GLP requirements.
The new Centron will integrate with existing Rees Scientific systems, including the Security Card Access System.
With the optional Rees Web-Server software you can log on to Centron from your desktop terminal, or wherever you have Internet access, via a Web server. Using the Rees Web-Server eliminates the need to install the Series II software on every terminal. Users simply log on to the system via the Web-Server; they do not have to dial in to their corporate networks. This protects the corporate network while allowing users complete access to their monitored inputs. Access system information from home, your hotel room or wherever you are, via your Internet service provider. The Web-Server allows users to view and inhibit alarms, print reports and program inputs.
