New features for maintenance management software   use multinational currencies, attach multiple drawing files to work orders

August 23, 2001 -MEQUON, WI - Multi-Currency and Multi-Drawing, two features now available in Eagle Technology ProTeus II 8.1 maintenance management software, allow program users to carry out transactions in foreign currencies and attach multiple drawing files to maintenance work orders.

With Multi-Currency, a maintenance department the U.S. can buy parts from a foreign vendor, in that vendor's currency, and still maintain a purchasing history in U.S. dollars. Similarly, a multinational company with several networked overseas plants/facilities can allow each one to conduct transactions in their native currencies, while tracking overall budget information in a single, pre-selected currency.

Multi-Currency works by allowing maintenance professionals to use a single maintenance database to generate purchase orders and conduct other transactions in any major world currency. After the transactions are carried out, Multi-Currency automatically converts them to the pre-selected base currency before saving them in history or applying them to the maintenance budget. The Multi-Drawing feature allows users to attach multiple drawings to ProTeus II work orders. The feature supports most popular drawing file types and also allows users to print multiple drawings with each work order.
