AgilQuest Integrates Its Onboard Workplace Management Solution with Microsoft Outlook/Exchange New Interface Simplifies Making Shared-Space Bookings
TORONTO, Ont.—April 17, 2005—AgilQuest Corporation today announced a major improvement for accessing its OnBoard Workplace Management Solution by using Microsoft Outlook/Exchange. OnBoard, version 3.0, allows MS-Outlook users to click a tab on the Outlook calendar to access all the capabilities of OnBoard for scheduling and managing workspace reservations.
OnBoard is a Web-native software tool that empowers office workers to locate and reserve the facility resources they need to work whenever and wherever they need to work—from office space to conference rooms, plus the scheduling of equipment and ordering of meeting services, such as catering.
John Vivadelli, AgilQuest's founder and president says, "AgilQuest continues to strive for 'transparency' and 'ubiquity' in our software, thereby limiting worker disruption while increasing workplace operations and agility. Our goal is to give our users access to OnBoard functions through familiar applications and devices allowing them to perform their work without focusing on the tool. Our new Outlook interface delivers just that. The Outlook interface joins other ways to access OnBoard capabilities, such as touch-screen kiosks, barcode readers, Web browsers, and CISCO VoIP telephones."
From Outlook users will be able to select and book work spaces using a room calendar, a graphical floor plan, or a workspace list...all without leaving the familiar surroundings of Outlook. They'll be able to access the most important features of OnBoard, including OnBoard ability to make space bookings with a single mouse-click, the ability to check-in and check-out of reserved spaces, and the selection of desired room equipment and meeting services.
AgilQuest expects the Outlook interface to become the most widely used manner for using OnBoard.
OnBoard is used by corporate, financial, real estate, and facilities managers to measure the utilization of organizational workspaces. OnBoard's reports help managers determine which spaces can be eliminated, shared, or reconfigured based on empirical data. The result can be the annual savings of tens of millions of dollars in real estate costs.
