Baltimore, Maryland, August 1, 2004 - The Construction Sciences Research Foundation Inc. (CSRF) developers of SPECTEXT® Master Guide Specifications announced the introduction of a new Structural Engineering Specifications Library.
The new Structural Engineering Library will consist of more than 120 SPECTEXT® (Full-Length), SPECTEXT® II (Short-Form), and OUTLINE Specification Sections ready to edit for project specifications or to establish and maintain an office master specification system.
SPECTEXT® provides an accepted industry standard framework for writing technically superior specifications and is the only commercially available system that follows the standard formats—MasterFormatT, SectionFormatT, PageFormatT and CSI Manual of Practice—recommended by the Construction Specifications Institute.
SPECTEXT®'s clear, concise, imperative mood, streamlined writing style appeals to the industry as a whole, not a limited sector or discipline. This approach has had wide appeal to engineering firms looking for consistent, unbiased specifications that meet the stringent technical demands of engineering projects.
SPECTEXT® is written, reviewed and maintained by nationally recognized, practicing engineering and architectural specification writers who collectively represent several hundred years' experience in preparing actual project specifications for a wide variety of projects going out to bid on a daily basis.
CSRF is an independent, not-for-profit construction industry research organization dedicated to unifying and integrating communication between programs and design/communications processes used in facilities design and construction.
