Five-year contract, largest of its kind for Sodexho in the U.S., includes plant operations and maintenance for 4.5 million sf of space in three facilities
Under the new contract, Sodexho will manage the plant operations and maintenance as well as explore other facility infrastructure renewal projects for the three facilities totaling more than 4.5 million sf in size—the largest physical space managed by Sodexho in the U.S.
For more than 25 years, Sodexho has been providing various services to the Stanford organization including food service, housekeeping, patient transportation, and groundskeeping; the company begins the new engineering service contract this month.
"The expansion of the services we provide at Stanford to include operation and maintenance of their facilities is particularly exciting as this is a key growth area for our organization. We value the partnership with Stanford and look forward to providing solutions that provide operational and technological expertise focused on extending the life of existing critical equipment and optimizing capital dollars throughout their facility infrastructure," says Stephen Dunmore, executive vice president of the Facility Solutions Group for Sodexho's Health Care Services Division. "These hospitals are recognized leaders in their fields and Sodexho is proud to work closely with the administration to create value for the community, being committed to service and making a positive difference in the patient experience at the Stanford facilities."
