Beverly, Mass. -- A ribbon cutting was held recently for the Wafer 2000 Project at Axcelis Technologies in Beverly. The project was built by Hodess Building Co. of North Attleboro, Mass. The scope of work included construction of a corporate headquarters and semiconductor facility. Hodess also renovated interior space to new corporate office space.

Highlights included a Class 10 cleanroom space with total glass partitioning and raised access floor to allow for viewing by customers as well as Class 1,000 and Class 10,000 space for back end operations.

Previously, Hodess Building Co. has completed nine other projects for Axcelis, in both Beverly and Rockland, Md., including cleanrooms, manufacturing areas, warehouse space, corporate office space, and a machine shop.
