Helmerich & Payne Selects Ivara's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System To Maintain Drilling Rigs Definability and comprehensive multi-site functionality key in Helmerich & Payne's decision to implement Ivara's software.
Burlington, Ontario - June 26, 2000 - Ivara Corporation, a supplier of leading edge Enterprise Asset Management (Ivara.EAM) and Expert Maintenance (Ivara.EXP) software and services announced today that Helmerich & Payne International Drilling Co. (H&P) has selected Ivara's software to assist in managing the maintenance of their drilling rigs.
Ivara.EAM reduces maintenance costs by improving the efficiency of maintenance processes such as work order planning and scheduling, MRO inventory and purchasing. Ivara.EXP collects equipment condition values, diagnoses the overall condition of the equipment and proactively identifies the maintenance required to prevent an equipment failure. This identification of the right maintenance work to do at the right time improves the effectiveness of maintenance, which reduces costs and improves equipment reliability.
H&P did an exhaustive search of the market evaluating over 200 EAM packages before selecting Ivara.EAM. H&P had difficulty finding a solution that would handle their multi-site requirements. "Ivara was the only company who demonstrated a complete understanding of all of our requirements and were able to prove that they could meet each and every one of them," said Scott Milliren, Manager of System Development at Helmerich & Payne. "With Ivara's products it is very easy to define the software to meet our specific requirements, which includes multiple tiers and a widely dispersed, mobile rig fleet."
"We have remote land and offshore drilling rigs throughout the world. The Ivara technology allows us to effectively deploy the CMMS EAM solution using H&P's WAN, which utilizes satellite and microwave technologies," Scott adds. "We have been very pleased with the Ivara implementation team and expect this technology to give us a significant competitive advantage in our industry."
"Helmerich & Payne are leaders in the drilling industry," said Bill Shaw, President and CEO of Ivara Corporation. "When they approached us about their asset management needs they were very frustrated with the inability of EAM software to meet their specific requirements. We were able to show them that we could not only meet their requirements, but also meet their tight implementation schedule."
