UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND AWARDS CONSOLIDATED ENGINEERING FACILITIES MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS CONTRACT

Arlington, Va. Â? Consolidated Engineering Services, Inc., an industry leader in the fast-growing building technology services sector, was awarded a contract with the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) to provide facility management and operations for UMUC?s main campus facilities totaling 410,000 square feet. Consolidated will operate a 24 x 7 service desk and a computerized maintenance management system, provide preventive and predictive maintenance for structural and mechanical systems, oversee construction projects, and evaluate energy use.

UMUC is one of eleven colleges and universities comprising the University System of Maryland. The college extends system resources to part-time students throughout the state and around the world. The UMUC buildings include the Faculty Service Center, the Inn and Conference Center, and the University Centre, located in Adelphi and College Park, Md. and also house the computer systems supporting UMUCÂ?s 20 online degree programs.
