MaxLite Unveils Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp & its Limitless Applications
The Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (CCFL) heralds a new chapter for lighting solutions, on par with the fiber-optic revolution. At the forefront is MaxLite, who continues to illuminate the world while protecting your pocketbook.
?CCFL will be unveiled at Lightfair 2001 in Las Vegas, May 2001,? said Yon Sung, C.E.O. and owner of MaxLite. ?They will change the way we see lighting. The lamps can be arranged differently for a variety of uses, and we will be exploring their use in existing and future fixtures. At Lightfair we will be exhibiting products spanning the entire spectrum from incandescent, globe, and candle-shaped bulbs, to indoor and outdoor fixtures, exit signs, even sheet forms.?
The CCFL is MaxLite?s flagship technological innovation. An example of the manufacturer?s commitment to energy-efficient lighting solutions, CCFL?s consumes extremely low levels of electric power while producing very little heat. An ordinary compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) burns anywhere from 100-200°, whereas a CCFL burns at a cool 50-77°. In addition, the lamps emit near-perfect light, scoring an amazing 96-99 on the color-rendering index (CRI). They also feature an adjustable brightness circuit and have superior vibration and impact resistance, making them extremely flexible and suited for all kinds of applications.
CCFL?s will no doubt provoke a paradigm shift in the lighting industry. The breakthrough lamps have an operating life of up to 100,000 hours. The ballast (inverter), not the lamp, will determine the lifespan of the CCFL unit, a significant reverse from earlier technologies, including CFL?s.
?We are very excited about this product. I?m certain that the introduction of our CCFL?s will be a milestone to which all future lighting products will be referenced,? said Sung. ?This technological advance will set a new trend in lighting solutions.?
Like all MaxLite products, CCFL?s are manufactured using the most durable, highest quality materials available along with superior workmanship. Competitors may offer other versions of the CCFL, but none match the high standards for evaluation and testing that MaxLite require of its products.
