XP95: Complete Fire Protection from Apollo America
Brimfield, Mass. (June 7, 2006) Fire protection needs can vary greatly by site, operating conditions and budget. The XP95 range of intelligent fire detection products from Apollo Fire Detectors offers detectors and addressable control devices with the design flexibility necessary to build a protection system customized to each buildings unique specifications.
The XP95’s XPERT programming card allows the detector to store its address location in the detector base, eliminating the potential for human error and ensuring the location accuracy critical during a fire event. The products in the range operate on an open protocol for maximum compatibility, and can be interfaced with other building services to trigger related events during alarms, such as activation of automatic smoke control equipment.
The XP95 range includes ionization and photoelectric smoke detectors, adjustable heat detectors, multi-sensors, beam detectors and several loop powered control devices designed to fit the most stringent building specifications and code requirements. The ionization smoke detector provides the fastest response for flaming fires, while the photoelectric smoke detector is better suited to detect smoldering fires with heavy smoke. The heat detectors can be manually programmed to either fixed temperature or rate of rise settings at the control panel and can be manually to account for changing building conditions, rather than requiring a manual product change to the next threshold level. The multi-sensor combines an optical and heat detector in one head, creating a blended reading of environmental conditions.
Designed with a zero-insertion-force base, the detectors install and can be maintained easily; lock down screws provide tamper resistance. Maintenance warnings enable problem resolution before false alarms are triggered. Aesthetically pleasing design blends with any site décor.
To reduce installation and maintenance costs for large open areas, loop powered infrared beam detectors are a cost-effective and reliable replacement for traditional smoke detectors. Both traditional and reflective beam detectors are available to suit any building environment.
In addition to detectors, the XP95 range includes a wide variety of loop powered addressable control devices, including switch monitors, zone monitors, addressable relays and input/output devices. Line isolators are available to protect the electrical integrity of the addressable circuit. The XP95 range of products is UL approved and intrinsically safe versions are available for use in hazardous areas.
