CINCINNATI, OH--The Hamilton County Commissioners have named Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) project manager for the design and construction of a new $280 million ballpark. Construction of the new ballpark is expected to begin in the fall with completion scheduled for April 2003. The design by HOK Sport will showcase a brick and stone exterior and a steel structure synonymous with the tradition and history of Cincinnati. It is being built along the city's riverfront as one of several emerging development projects along the river.

"This ballpark is designed to connect Cincinnati with our past," says Bob Bedinghaus, president of the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners. "But at the same time, we see it as a bright gem on the Cincinnati riverfront's future."

As project manager, PB will coordinate and oversee all aspects of the ballpark design and construction process. Its responsibilities will also include managing the ballpark project's relationship with other key development projects.

"The new Cincinnati Reds ballpark will be a tremendous boon to the city and its plans for a vibrant new riverfront," commented Thomas J. O'Neill, president of Parsons Brinckerhoff. "We are proud to be a playing a key role in this exciting project."
