Purdue University to Host Upcoming Buildings for Advanced Technology (BAT) Workshop III
Following the success of the previous Buildings for Advanced Technology Workshops, BAT III will be held on February 6-8, 2006 at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. BAT III brings together an international forum of building owners, facilities managers, and user representatives from a prestigious list of national laboratories and higher education institutions. The speakers will share their experience in achieving the needs of technically demanding facilities supporting advanced technologies such as nanoscale research, quantum computing, high-accuracy metrology, semiconductor fabrication, and biotechnology.
Keynote speakers include Dr. E. Clayton Teague, director, National Nanotechnology Coordination Office and Dr. Sally Mason, provost, Purdue University. The workshop will also include tours of Purdue University's newly dedicated Birck Nanotechnology Center and the 1954 Frank Lloyd Wright Samara House. The workshop is organized by the U.S. National Nanotechnology Initiative, the Naval Research Laboratory, Purdue University, and HDR Architecture Inc.
