Hulings Hall utilizes a rigorous 10' planning module in conjunction with 14' floor-to-floor heights designed to accommodate shared animal facilities, electron microscopes and psychology laboratories at the basement level. Biology teaching labs, support spaces, instrument rooms, a greenhouse and support facilities are located at the ground floor level. The biology teaching labs and support spaces occupy the first floor; biology research labs, faculty offices and support areas are located on the second floor with a mechanical equipment penthouse above.

Renovation to Olin Hall, originally constructed in 1961, include an instrument shop, psychology labs and lecture/demonstration classrooms on the ground floor; classrooms, additional psychology labs and support spaces on the first floor; physics labs and support spaces on the second floor with additional physics labs and faculty offices located on the third floor.

Mudd Hall, originally completed in 1975, includes geology labs and chemical storage areas on the basement level and a geology prep room and faculty offices on the ground floor. Relocation of the science library provides space for new chemistry labs, an instrument room and faculty offices on the first floor. Relatively minor changes to the second floor were needed to accommodate new laboratory equipment.

Exterior materials were selected in harmony with the existing campus and include brick with precast concrete at the base and entry, painted metal elements at the windows and a flat clay tile for the sloping roofs.
