The project required a detailed survey of the building systems, which were fully CADD documented in an effort to reuse existing resources. Facility modifications to make the project  UFAS/ADA compliant were required in restrooms and all public areas. Mechanical supply and exhaust systems were engineered to utilize the building's existing vertical chase space. New communication systems included interconnections to network the facility operating areas with local networks and to the campus central data and educational distribution system.

Exterior improvements included new windows and entrances with energy efficient glass, a new roof, lighting and restoration of exterior panels.  All improvements were accomplished in keeping with the facility's original design.
