Conventional under floor air supply had not been sufficient for cooling of the high heat release equipment. The existing under floor system had high power cables and the introduction of water piping in the room had been undesirable. The solution included the design for an energy-efficient hybrid system with refrigerant cooling and humidity control, and overhead plus under floor distribution. In addition, the system utilized dry cooling without water lines over the racks.
