The Medical Research Building and Medical School Entrance at the University of Rochester enhances the School of Medicine's position as a major research and teaching institution.

Abbott Laboratories
Building R14 is a four-story, 115,000-sf laboratory building located at Abbott's North Chicago site. Occupying two floors are 35 analytical labs on the first floor and 35 chemical development labs on the fourth. The two remaining floors of shell space permit Abbott to double the occupancy, reaching a total of 140 lab spaces when needed. About 4,000 sf of shell space is also available in the lower level to accommodate future lab-support functions. R14 is designed for a Phase II addition to the east that will accommodate 112 more laboratory personnel.
