Chesapeake Bay Foundation
The Philip Merrill Environmental Center is the first building in the country to receive a Platinum rating from the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design certification program. As the headquarters for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Merrill Center is a 32,000-sf building that may be considered the nation's "greenest" office building.

The $16-million Science and Teleconferencing Center's vision is to stimulate the economic development of Southern New Jersey with a program that includes heavy emphasis on the Center's availability for use by business. The Center will serve as an electronic hub for the program needs of a consortium of six New Jersey institutions.
