The Philip Merrill Environmental Center is the first building in the country to receive a Platinum rating from the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design certification program. As the headquarters for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Merrill Center is a 32,000-sf building that may be considered the nation's "greenest" office building.
