Hamilton College's recently completed 205,000-gsf Science Center brings together five science departments from three separate buildings into one unified complex, increasing the opportunity for interdisciplinary study. The original 40,000-gsf science building, built in 1924, was fully renovated, the 1960s addition was demolished, and a new addition of 165,000 gsf was built.

University of British Columbia Properties Trust
The UBC Life Sciences Research Centre provides 556,000 sf of teaching and research facilities for the study of life sciences as well as medical student training at the university. The facility focuses on research including anatomy, biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, medical genetics, and bio-informatics. The new building houses the UBC School of Medicine; the research facility, Life Sciences Institute; the Centre for Blood Research; and the Centre for Disease Modeling.

The new 155,000-gsf, $39-million Pediatrics Center on the campus of Emory University co-locates clinical and laboratory/research functions in a single facility, directly adjacent to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Egleston Hospital. This adjacency and the resulting collaboration will now allow the University to attract the best and brightest staff and faculty to its renowned pediatrics department. Columbia University
Recently completed, the Irving Cancer Research Center is Phase II of the Audubon Research and Technology Park master plan. The facility provides resources for interdisciplinary, undergraduate engineering education. The building's program supports a wide range of undergraduate design efforts, from the first year's integrated design curriculum, to more specialized senior projects and annual competition entries.

Northwestern University
Northwestern University has completed a new research building on the downtown Chicago campus of its renowned medical school. The new building contains three major research centers: the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Center for Genetic Medicine, and the Institute for Bioengineering and Nanoscience in Advanced Medicine.
