Emphasis on Social and Environmental Responsibility Drives Cutting-Edge Lab Design
Novo Nordisk A/S, a Denmark-based global healthcare company, is setting new standards for progressive, socially responsible facility design with its 150,000-sf small-animal research laboratory in Denmark. The three-story R&D lab was designed with a specific focus on animal welfare, worker ergonomics, and occupational health and safety. It features natural daylighting in all permanent work areas, specialized cage systems designed to maximize animal comfort, and an integrated vivarium barrier with state-of-the-art airflow control for unprecedented worker safety.
