We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Facilities Manager for our Research & Academic mission.

The OHSU Facilities team delivers a safe, compliant, and aesthetically pleasing environment for the pursuit of world-class research, teaching and healthcare. From the landscaping and building entrances to the lighting and air conditioning, the actions of the Facilities team are ever-present in the daily lives of the OHSU staff, patients and visitors. Properly maintained and operated buildings and grounds are the foundation for OHSU’s mission.

The Research & Academic Facilities Manager is under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, and is responsible for the management of the operations and maintenance of buildings serving OHSU’s research and academic missions. In addition to directly leading the Building Technicians, Coordinators and contracted service partners that keep the buildings running, the Research & Academic Facilities Manager is the cornerstone of the relationships with executive customers and the partner departments that serve the built environment.

Candidates should have experience managing staff, budgets, relationships and systems and processes to provide exceptional service. Success in this position depends heavily on communication with customers, staff, peers and service partners, as well as executive audiences. It is beneficial to have knowledge specific to research facilities such as codes and standards, grant structures, construction and maintenance means and methods.
