Facilities Planning Technicians

The Columbia Group is seeking a Facilities Planning Technician to work on assignments of moderate complexity under limited supervision, including ensuring efficient usage and accountability for space and facilities within the assigned plant area. Coordinate space or facility requirements for modifications and new construction with users. Review and analyze rental or lease agreements, renewals, and extensions. Analyze space usage requests and requirements and recommend appropriate alternatives. Plan, coordinate, and implement furniture, office, or factory moves and develop new or unusual solutions based on advanced principles within the facilities and construction trades, as guided by the plan, schedule, and budget assigned. Define requirements, select approaches, and interface with all levels of management and outside contractors and vendors. Use computerized programs to analyze requirements and track the project, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-Ability to use Navy Shore Facility Planning Systems, including the iNFADS and Electronic Project Generator (EPG) and Microsoft Office applications, including Project, Word, and Excel, and Adobe

-Ability to use Navy and Marine Corps guidance, including UFC 2-000-05N NAVFAC Facility Planning Criteria for Navy and Marine Corps Shore Installations (P-80), Department of the Navy Facility Category Codes P-72, and Navy and Marine Corps Shore Facility Planning Manual (NAVFACINST 11010.44E) to plan projects, including MCO 5000 series for Planning, FSRM, and MILCON

-Secret clearance

-BS degree or 2 years of experience with performing the planning tasks of BFRs, including asset evaluations and project documents

Work Locations are in support of Marine Corps Installations in: Camp Lejeune, NC / Cherry Point, NC, / New River, NC / Beaufort, SC / Camp Pendelton, CA / Okinawa, Japan / Quantico, VA / Pentagon
